Giving priority to the safety of women in Rajasthan, “Kalika Petroleum Unit” has been launched in Nawalgarh town of Jhunjhunu district.The main objective of this unit is to curb the increasing incidents of molestation in the society and to provide a strong and safe environment to women.
Rajasthan Police officers, local public representatives and social workers were present on the occasion of inauguration of this unit. The presence and support of #vikramsinghjakhal during the program made this initiative more effective.
The main objective of this special service started by Rajasthan Police is to provide immediate police assistance to women. In case of any uncomfortable situation likeIn case of stalking, obscene comments, indecent behaviour in public places, or any other kind of harassment, women can now seek police help by directly calling the 1090 helpline number.

This campaign is also getting wide publicity on social media. People are sharing it with slogans like “Now there is no mercy for miscreants”. The special thing is that keeping in mind the location and activity of this unit, this scheme is being seen as a model unit in the Shekhawati region.

Nawalgarh, which is a culturally and educationally rich town, has a large number of women’s colleges, coaching institutes and workplaces. In such a situation, incidents of harassment of girls and women on the streets have often been reported here.
