RRB Group D Exam 2025 The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has officially announced the schedule for the much-awaited Group D Computer-Based Test (CBT) for the year 2025. This large-scale recruitment aims to fill 32,438 vacancies and has already drawn massive interest, with over 1 crore applicants registered for the selection process. The CBT serves as the initial stage of the multi-level recruitment procedure, making it a vital hurdle for all aspiring candidates.

Exam Schedule and Pattern

The RRB Group D CBT is scheduled to begin on November 17, 2025, and will continue in multiple shifts across the country until the end of December 2025. The test will be conducted online and will last 90 minutes for most candidates. However, those who fall under the PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities) category and are using a scribe will get 120 minutes to complete the exam.

The paper will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), divided into four key sections:

  • General Science
  • Mathematics
  • General Intelligence & Reasoning
  • General Awareness & Current Affairs

Candidates must be cautious, as there will be negative marking1/3rd of a mark will be deducted for each incorrect response.


Key Dates and Document Details

Staying on top of important dates and documents is crucial for a smooth examination experience.

1. Exam City Intimation Slip

This slip will be available approximately 10 days before your scheduled exam date. It includes information about your assigned exam city and shift, allowing you to plan your travel and stay. Keep in mind, this is not the same as your admit card and will not grant you entry to the exam center.

2. Admit Card (E-Call Letter)

The official admit card will be released 4 days before your exam date. You’ll need to log in to your regional RRB website using your registration number and date of birth to download it.

Candidates must print a copy of the admit card and bring it to the exam venue along with a valid photo ID proof. The admit card includes important details such as:

  • Your name and roll number
  • Photograph
  • Exam date and shift timing
  • Full address of the exam center

Complete Selection Process for RRB Group D 2025

RRB Group D recruitment is multi-tiered, and clearing each stage is essential to move forward in the process. Here’s a detailed look:

1. Computer-Based Test (CBT)

This is the screening stage. Candidates must achieve the minimum qualifying marks to proceed:

  • UR: 40%
  • EWS: 40%
  • OBC: 30%
  • SC: 30%
  • ST: 30%

A relaxation of 2% in minimum marks may be granted to PwBD candidates if there is a shortage of candidates.

2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

This is a qualifying-only test, and candidates are shortlisted for it based on their CBT performance.

  • For Male Candidates:
    • Lift and carry 35 kg for 100 meters in 2 minutes in one go without putting the weight down.
    • Run 1000 meters in 4 minutes and 15 seconds in a single attempt.
  • For Female Candidates:
    • Lift and carry 20 kg for 100 meters in 2 minutes in one chance.
    • Run 1000 meters in 5 minutes and 40 seconds in a single attempt.

Candidates under the PwBD category are exempted from the PET but must undergo a medical examination instead.

3. Document Verification (DV) and Medical Examination

Those who pass both CBT and PET will be called for Document Verification, during which all original documents (educational certificates, caste certificates, identity proof, etc.) will be verified.

Once DV is cleared, candidates must appear for a Medical Exam to confirm their physical and mental fitness for the post they have applied for.


How to Check Your RRB Group D Result

The RRB Group D CBT results will be released online on the respective regional RRB websites. Initially, the results are published as a PDF file containing the roll numbers of all shortlisted candidates.

Step-by-Step Guide to Download Result PDF:

  1. Visit Your Regional RRB Website
    Go to the official website of the RRB zone you applied under. You can find a list of all regional sites on the Indian Railways main portal.
  2. Find the Result Link
    Look for a notification such as:
    “Result of CBT for CEN RRC 08/2024 (Group D) Level-1 Posts.” Click on it.
  3. Open the PDF
    The file will open in a new tab. It includes roll numbers of candidates shortlisted for the PET.
  4. Search Your Roll Number
    Press Ctrl + F, type your roll number, and check if it appears in the document.
  5. Download and Save
    Make sure to download and save the result PDF for future use.

How to View and Download Your Individual Scorecard

A few days after the PDF result is announced, RRB will also publish individual scorecards, which provide a detailed breakdown of your performance.

Steps to Access the Scorecard:

  1. Visit the RRB Website
    Go back to your regional RRB website.
  2. Locate the Scorecard Link
    Look for a link that says: “Click here to view your scorecard for RRB Group D CBT.”
  3. Log In
    Use your registration number and date of birth (DD-MM-YYYY) to log in.
  4. View and Download
    Your scorecard will show:

    • Normalized score
    • Qualifying status
